It does not mean every toy shipped in 2026 already needs the future toy DPP. However, brands developing product systems intended to remain on sale into the next decade should begin organizing reliable model, material, supplier, test and traceability data. A structured compliance record is easier to migrate than scattered PDFs with inconsistent product names.
Great Britain: CE or UKCA under current guidance
Great Britain applies the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011, as amended. Current government guidance states that businesses can use either CE or UKCA marking for toys placed on the GB market, provided the relevant requirements and conformity route are met. Northern Ireland has separate rules.
The official UK Toys (Safety) Regulations guidance describes obligations including safety assessment, technical documentation, declarations of conformity, traceability and warnings. Importers should also confirm the latest list of designated toy safety standards.
Do not treat "CE or UKCA accepted" as permission to reuse an unrelated report. The evidence still needs to cover the actual toy and the applicable UK requirements.
